Mike Beaumont

Creative Director

Bio

Coming to us straight outta the “suburbs of Cleveland,” Mike leads the creative team with a passion and intensity unlike any other team member. A Junkie since 2007, he draws from a diverse skill set and years of industry experience to help guide projects to completion, providing insight into the creative and technical potential each of these unpolished gems possesses. A connoisseur of many of the finer things in life, Mike frequently injects personal experience and knowledge into Spacejunk's projects. When asked what his favorite part of the job is, Mike lists: “Seeing how talented groups of people can come together to make something that none of them would have been able to accomplish on their own.”

Away from the studio, Mike is passionate about urban planning, cycling, food, beer, politics and world affairs. He is a die-hard Browns and soccer fan. He loves to read and also tries to still find time for video games. Oh, and he is focused on raising his daughter to be a kick ass, confident woman someday.

Karl Hein

Art Director

Bio

Karl is Spacejunk’s resident curmudgeonly art director with insightful strategic thinking and a keen eye for beautiful design. A veteran designer and copywriter, Karl brings clear and thoughtful intention to all his work. His ability to juggle multiple projects is only dwarfed by his ability to consume vast amounts of hot dogs in food challenges. We’re genuinely not sure how he’s still alive, but are glad that he is.

After Hours

Karl’s a regular Renaissance man, if da Vinci was into building Gundam replica statuettes. His crafts outside work include playing music, cooking, and building. He also loves exploring as much new food as possible and taking spontaneous road trips (he’s basically Ice Cube in Are We There Yet?).

Andy Murphy-Young

Producer

Bio

Andy Murphy-Young comes to Spacejunk with 10 years of experience as a freelance production crew member, wearing a great number of hats on set (primarily the fez). A grip and electric guru with years of feature film experience, Andy’s escaped the world of manual labor for the prime opportunity to actually order other people around for once. His vast array of first-hand experience and knowledge in the production world makes him an incredible asset to the team, when it doesn’t just make him look like an annoying showoff.

After Hours

When not spending time with his wife and two kids outdoors, Andy loves winding down after a long day by building furniture in his garage, making a stiff cocktail, and listening to vinyl records.
