McDonalds

Fahlgren Mortine

One afternoon we received a script that contained a scene with a woman and a cat doing yoga together. The rest is history. OK, OK, so there’s a little more to it than that. We were lovin’ the idea of collaborating with our friends at Fahlgren Mortine on these animation-based spots for iconic fast food chain, McDonalds. We set our illustrators and animators loose on crafting scenes with distinct styles and characters. The end result was something that cracks us up every time we see it on TV.

The Process

We had a lot of fun creating these quirky characters for this spot. A combination of 2D illustrations and 3D assets combined to give the piece an original and fresh feel.

Getting a Closer Look

Early sketches and character studies were instrumental in getting the final piece to feel just right. It's always interesting to go back and see how everything evolved as the process played out.
